Compost tea is an aerobically brewed liquid concentrate of soluble nutrients, organic compounds and elevated levels of microorganisms. It is produced by extracting and suspending good quality compost in water and aerating with a pump. The resulting liquid is dispensed into a sprayer and applied to turfgrass areas inoculating the turf with billions of beneficial micro-organisms which improve life in the soil and on the plant surfaces.

MycoLife Compost
Compost for Varietas System

Produced by Laverstoke Park Farm on a fully-licenced five acre compost site, MycoLife Compost is specially mixed to ensure it contains a good range of active micro-organisms vital to quality compost tea. The main mix to create the compost consists of green waste, farmyard manure, wood and biodynamic preparations which takes approximately eight weeks to process.
The compost is accredited with PAS100 and the quality protocol.
MycoLife Compost is matured in oak wood for six months and inoculated with fungal and bacterial feeds which enchance growth of micro-organisms. It is tested in Laverstoke Park’s laboratory to verify and boost the micro-organisms and nutrients that benefit plant health.
MycoLife Compost should be added to the water along with MicroActivator in the compost tea brewer.

MycoLife Activator is a special blend of microbe feed developed by Laverstoke Park Laboratories for improving microbial numbers in your compost teas.
Two litres of MycoLife Activator treats up to 1,000L of compost tea.
MycoLife Activator is produced and tested by Laverstoke Park Laboratories, the only licensed Soil Foodweb Laboratory in all of Europe.
MycoLife Activator should be added to the water and compost mixture in the compost tea brewer.

BioBalance
BioBalance is a quick acting soil conditioner for the amelioration of unproductive soil conditions including compaction, low biological activity and acidity. It is a maerl calcified seaweed amended with Physio+, a patented growth promoter derived from seaweed to aid the uptake of calcium and other nutrients.
Its free calcium content maintains the soil pH and aeration at optimum levels for soil microbes to thrive in.
BioBalance consists of a young form of calcium, Calcium Oxide. Calcium Carbonate, i.e. lime, is an old form of calcium and is only chemical reactive, whereas Calcium Oxide is also biologically active. Contained in each granule of BioBalance is an abundance of sea algae which serves as a food source for soil micro-organisms, vital for full soil health.

BioRZ
BioRZ is a vegetable based root zone conditioner containing amino, fulvic and humic acids and a very wide range of natural plant stimulants and trace elements. The range of soil micro-organisms attached to each particle includes Trichoderma spp. and selected Mycorrhiza spp. for thatch reduction.
The natural minerals in BioRZ are first milled to a fineness resembling talcum powder; this gives excellent availability and a stimulatory effect on microbial activity. Secondly, in order to ensure ease and accuracy of spreading these very fine powders are then granulated into uniform hard granules. Once moistened by dew, rainfall or irrigation the granules break down rapidly enabling the beneficial minerals to diffuse into the root-zone. BioRZ does not contain slat based minerals that are susceptible to rapid dissolving; this minimises leaching and pollution of ground water.
